The Rt Rev Peter Eves Sutton, CBE was the 8th[1] Anglican Bishop of Nelson.[2]
He was born on 7 June 1923,[3] educated at the University of New Zealand and ordained in 1947.[4] He began his career with curacies at Whanganui, St John the Evangelist Bethnal Green,[5] and Bishops Hatfield. He was then Vicar of St Cuthberts, Berhampore. Later he was Archdeacon of Waimate and after that (his last post before elevation to the Episcopate) Dean of Dunedin.
